Jamil Akili

Jamil Akili is a senior energy executive and petroleum engineer with over 25 years of international experience in reservoir engineering, production optimization, field development, and petroleum economics. He has a strong track record of enhancing asset performance, leading large-scale operations, and delivering value across complex energy portfolios.

He previously served as Vice President of Production Management for the Middle East & Asia at SLB, leading integrated production contracts and multidisciplinary teams. During his 21-year tenure with SLB, he held senior leadership roles in New Ventures, Operations, and Technology Deployment, supporting national and international oil companies in performance optimization and recovery enhancement.

Jamil has lived and worked across five continents and held executive and advisory roles with private equity firms, regional service providers, and technology start-ups in the Middle East and North America. He holds degrees in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, and a master’s in petroleum engineering.
