Haitham Saleh

Haitham Saleh is a highly experienced geophysicist with over 30 years of expertise in seismic interpretation, geological analysis, and the management of oil and gas exploration and development activities across a wide range of geological settings.
Throughout his career, Haitham has held a number of senior technical and leadership positions, including serving as Director of Exploration and Development at the General Petroleum Corporation (GPC) from 2013 to 2021. Prior to this, he led the Studies and Interpretation Department for Seismic and Geological Data, where his work contributed to several significant oil and gas discoveries through the successful interpretation and evaluation of subsurface data.
Haitham's expertise encompasses the evaluation of sedimentary basins and petroleum systems, seismic and geological interpretation, correlation of geological, gravity, and well data, prospect generation, exploration risk assessment, and the identification of drilling opportunities. He has extensive experience across a broad range of sedimentary environments and tectonic settings, supporting both exploration and production activities, as well as economic evaluations of upstream projects. Throughout his career, he has presented numerous technical papers at international conferences and seminars and has served as a trusted technical consultant to a variety of organisations within the energy sector.
